What’s the difference between a Medical Director, Collaborating Physician, and Friendly PC?
Great question! These terms can sound similar but play slightly different roles depending on your state’s laws:

Medical Director: A licensed physician who provides clinical oversight and ensures aesthetic treatments follow medical standards and state regulations.

Collaborating Physician: A doctor who formally partners with a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to review charts, sign off on protocols, and provide ongoing clinical collaboration.

Friendly PC (Professional Corporation): In certain states, only physicians can own medical practices. A “Friendly PC” structure allows non-physician providers to legally operate under a physician-owned entity while maintaining control of daily operations.
